This year, one of my dreams came true: I finally visited one of the places that fascinates me most, Japan! I did lots of walking in Tokyo, Nara, and Kyoto, and besides that, I traveled extensively on the Shinkansen bullet trains. Come with me!

Day 6: Last day – Exploring Omoide Yokocho and Harajuku
The trip is coming to an end, with the final day spent exploring Omoide Yokocho and Harajuku. Omoide Yokocho offers a nostalgic glimpse of old Tokyo, while Harajuku showcases vibrant teen culture. The day included visits to a dog cafe and a unique fabric store, concluding with a tasting of Wagyu beef.

Day 5: Tokyo’s Hidden Gems – Discover Toyosu and Tsukiji Markets, Sumo, and Udon.
The day’s itinerary in Tokyo included an early morning visit to the Toyosu Fish Market, where a tuna auction showcased frozen tuna, with prices averaging U$40,000. Following the market, a breakfast of various delicacies awaited at Tsukiji Market, before exploring Hamarikyu Gardens and enjoying a sumo demonstration lunch. Day 4: Exploring Kyoto and Nara – A Travel Adventure
Today’s journey included travels to Kyoto and Nara via the Shinkansen, with a hopeful glance at Mt. Fuji. Highlights featured delicious breakfast bento, historical shrines, and the stunning Golden Pavilion. In Nara, playful deer added charm as locals and visitors embraced rich culture. The day wrapped up with delightful matcha desserts.

Day 3: A Guided Tour of Hakone and Mt. Fuji
The day’s guided tour began at the Love sculpture, heading to Mt. Fuji, Hakone’s cable car, and a boat trip. Despite the rainy, cloudy weather obscuring Mt. Fuji, the group enjoyed a tasty Hot Pot lunch and a memorable Shinkansen ride back to Tokyo, concluding with a delightful dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: Tokyo Day Tour Highlights – Food, Culture, and More
On the second day in Japan, the author enjoyed a guided tour in Tokyo, starting from the Shiomi Bay Prince Hotel. Highlights included visiting the Meiji Jingu Shrine, Imperial Palace, Asakusa district, and Tokyo Sky Tree, coupled with cultural insights and delicious Japanese cuisine. The day was filled with exploration and memorable experiences.

Day 1: Exploring Tokyo – A Dream Trip to Japan
The author’s long-awaited trip to Japan began on March 8, 2024. After crossing the International Date Line, they arrived in Tokyo on March 10, excited to explore. They navigated the city using its efficient train system, visited Ueno Park and its cherry blossoms, enjoyed sushi in Shibuya, and experienced the luxurious Ginza district.
