Day 1: Exploring the Blue Lagoon and Icelandic Cuisine

My day started in the plane seeing Greenland for the first time. There was a lot of Ice and snow and it looked very white. Then we eventually landed in Iceland

Greenland! A lot of ice and snow
Iceland here
Our ride!
Blue lagoon the place we are going to.

I generally think the Icelandics are very nice and friendly people despite being introverted. I like the airport experience due to the airport being so modern.

At last the Blue Lagoon! The water is really hot! It is 90 degrees Fahrenheit
We are putting on therapeutic masks on our faces
Mom and dad put on a black paste that has volcanic origins while I put on a silica paste
Me in the blue lagoon, the weather was really nice. The lagoon is blue do to Silica reflecting light within the water.
After the blue lagoon for 4 hours, I went to a steam bath and a sauna. Both were good but different
The average Icelandic summer is generally pretty cold and it feels like freezing.
Beautiful Mom, handsome Son!
My dinner: fish of the day (Wolffish) with vegetables and mashed broccoli. It was delicious and yummy
My dessert: skyr yogurt cake with fruits. It is delicious and skyr yogurt is extremely healthy and typical in Iceland.
This is the hotel we stayed at and had wonderful meals! Northern Lights Inn. It is 30min by car from the International Airport and 3min by car from the Blue Lagoon. This picture is from the eruption in 2023. Here the website: https://www.nli.is
This was our short ride from the airport to the hotel and Blue Lagoon on the first day.
