Day 3: Touring around Sedona!
The day started by us waking up at the hotel. That was when we started off on our voyage!
Our meeting point for the trip.Officially setting off for the trip! Mom couldn’t stop laughing for some reason.
We were heading off to a church that was built before Sedona became super famous(most of the town was built after 1993. That was when Sedona was heavily populated and became a major tourist resort!
Beautiful rock formations on the way.A really good view! that home at one point was owned by Johnny depp! We finally got in front of the beautiful chapel! It was a catholic one, btw. Me lighting the candles of the church. Interior of the church. It looks small but beautiful. While on the van leaving, we saw these cacti. Did you know that a certain species of this cacti(the jumping cactus) has, when simply walking by it, causes the needles to propel at you! Saying a final goodbye to the chapel.Beautiful rock formations!
Our second stop was at the Sedona Heritage museum.
The shed of the heritage museum. The museum was beautiful. it was about the family Schnebly that once lived there that was highly significant. Carl Schnebly and his wife, Sedona, are considered to be the founders of the city. The city was named after her wife, a very important woman. The home. The home’s interior looks horribly built (what were they on when they built this!).The teal arches! They are the only type of kind in the world to do so! The teal arches are due to Sedona trying to make itself beautiful in 1974 by taking down giant billboards and stuff. Knowing McDonald’s could come to town, they tried to ban it by banning logos in golden colors, so no Golden Arches for McDonalds’s possible. McDonald’s in 1993, after original sign not complying with guidelines, they faced a dilemma: not have a restaurant, or change the logo. McDonald’s went for the latter. Then, they introduced their first restaurant with the logo. Cool, right?!The weirdly built crib.Inside the house. There were hallways a foot wide, windows and rooms in strange places, some were too big, some were too small, etc. You can read that on your own. Fun fact: the town’s founder was the surname of schnebly and the town was named after his wife, Sedona.I just got pyrite, fool’s gold! (SCAMMERS!!!)Sedona’s first fire engine. The stores along the Main Street!Cactus fries, rattlesnake sausage, prickly pear sauce, and bison skillets. We are in our cowboy themed restaurant, the cowboy club! Byeee!!! We are on top of airport Mesa! It is the flattest land of all Sedona! The Buddhist monument of Sedona. It was due to the whole vortex energy thing. It has flags, guns, food, and even medications inside the concrete here.We saw a house built by a multimillionaire. The only way into the house is by a gondola. If it is too big, then it is taken up by helicopter. You can interpret that the way you want to.Beautiful view!See y’all later!
