Day 9: after 7 hours drive, we arrived at Outer Banks in North Carolina!!!

Hello everyone! After waking up at 5AM and leaving Charleston for Outer Banks, we got in the car and left. Look! We are here!
Look at this place! It is a thin piece of land in the middle of the ocean. And it is a very long piece of land! it is called Outer Banks, North Carolina!
This is the lace. And we are going to the very south edge!
Look! The charming houses in Outer Banks! These are tall because of hurricanes and they need to be tall to not get damaged by storm surge.

This is where we had lunch in Outer Banks! Amazing place!

It is called Real Watersports, a dream place for Kite Surfing. You can rent an apartment here and in a week training, you become a kite surfer!
Look how cool! One day I will learn!

And now it’s time to go to the Old Lighthouse Beach, 30min still to go.

This is our location!
Look! The lighthouse beach! We could not go into the lighthouse because it was under repair works.
Me at the beach.
I couldn’t help, I needed to play with the sand!
Look at this place! A wild beach!
Mom!
The dunes. Amazing wild beach!!!
100% natural beach! No developments at all.

After spending some great hours in a completely wild and natural beach, we started heading to our Hotel in Kitty Hawk!

This it the location of our hotel. The lighthouse we were before is in Buxton, at the south edge of Outer Banks.

As we arrived at Kitty Hawk, checked in the hotel and were about to leave to the beach, this happened:

Summer rain.
… 10min later… time to go to the beach!
Our hotel. Looks nice, doesn’t it?
Look who is here.
Having fun!
Look at this pier and the endless beach!
What a place!
Look at the seagull!
Look! Me enjoying the beach and building a structure.
Dad’s helping me. teamwork makes the dream work!
The pier! It looks nice at sunset.🌅
Look at this view!
Look! A crab!🦀
Look! A bird!
On the way back to the hotel after a long and relaxing walk on the beach!
The kitty hawk pier! Looks nice!
This view is to the east, although it is a sunset and the sun is setting in the west… crazy!
Where we are right now.

So, there you have it! We had a fun and special day, and hope the next will be even more magical! I hope to see you soon!!!!!!

  1. The blue house looks perfect with the waves and fine sand on the background.
