Day 14: New York Hidden Gems!
Today we decided to explore New York’s hidden gems in Midtown, along the rivers, Tribeca, SoHo , and Wall Street!
First stop, Chelsea Piers! Inside the Chelsea Piers, our first stop, Pier 57!

Look how modern! Bars, restaurants, social areas, cafés, collaboration spaces… all waterfront!Look at the rooms where people sit to relax and work.View from the rooftop! this beautiful place in front of us is called Little Island and we are going there next!Manhattan on the left, New Jersey on the right.Beautiful views from the Rooftop.Little Island right next to Pier 57.Look how cool is this architecture!A little oasis in the crazy town.The little island has even an amphitheater.Wow!And here we are, and we decided to walk along the shore line.New York and New Jersey.Beautiful place sure does by calming waters! Lots of people jogging here!

Next stop: Ghostbuster Building! The Iconic building from the iconic movie!So cool!

… and we decided to walk a bit more…
We came here to walk the famous Brooklyn Bridge and visit Brooklyn!Here we are, in the middle of the Brooklyn Bridge.Look at this structure!Look at the views!Long cross, I am tired.Here we are, in Brooklyn in a place called Dumbo.Dumbo Brooklyn.Look at this Amazing View!!!Breathtaking view!!!Before we walk more, we decided to look for a good restaurant in the neighborhood. Elephant District was our choice.A refreshing meal!Look at our Thai meal!
Let’s walk again.
Now we have to walk back to New York. 😀As soon as we crossed back, we went to Fulton St. party time here.
Party time!Based on the recommendation of a friend (obrigado Fernanda!!) we went to visit the Tin Building by Jean-Georges.
Look at the vibe of this place. Another pier.We stopped here for a sweet break! 😀Beautiful place!Mom loves the decoration here.
We decided to walk a bit more after the coffee and sweets…
We went to visit the Federal Hall, where George Washington took the Oath of Office There (1789).Right across it, the New York Stock Exchange!As we are here in the Financial District, let’s go see the famous Charging Bull!
We decided we wanted to experience an afternoon as a New Yorker does, so we went to the Stone Street Tavern to sit outdoors.

… and we kept walking…
I wanted to visit the zone World Trade Center, so we came here.It is sad to see this and remember what happened here.Let’s go up to the Observatory of the One World Trade Center.

Look at this view!!!Look at the World Trade Center memorial down there, next to the Nautilus.Enjoying the moment and the amazing views!!!Look at the Brooklyn bridge, we’ve been there today! It looks like a toy from here.Look at the Empire States and the other Skyscrapers!Look at these 2 islands on the left.Let’s zoom in, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island! So cool!
After walking so much, I said I would like to take the subway back to the hotel. So we went to the Nautilus and took the subway #1 from there.

We got out at the Penn Station and went for one of the best street food places you can find in New a York…
Amazing tacos!!! Really special!!!
After such an amazing and intense day, we checked how many steps we walked. 😳
31.000 steps, almost 21Km walked and 1240 calories burnt… we deserve a good night of sleep!
