Day 8: First day of 2026 at the beach in Key West!

Hello and Happy new year! 🎆🎊🎈 Hello 2026!!!! I can’t believe we are here! But let’s start the day! Let’s go!

The day began with us getting out of bed after the celebrations of New year and we set out for key west!
After a few hours, we finally arrived!
The downtown looks beautiful! Very vintage style!
The whole Key West port! Looks great!
Look! A nice sailboat ⛵️!!!
Look! The whole scenery and island!

Very pretty key west house! Looks very vintage and pretty!
One of the many free roaming chickens 🐓 and roosters 🐔!

Look! A humongous tree!🌳
Look! The Ernest Hemingway house! With lots of cats 🐈! The cats sleep all over the house! Hemingway is a famous writer that served in wars and got into 2 back to back Plane crashes! He won the Pulitzer Prize and the Nobel Price for his work, especially the Old Man and the Sea.
Look! We ate at a place with the view of the ocean! 🌊 (sorry for the faces)
The Southernmost point in USA, facing south… apparently Cuba is 90 miles from here.
Here is our Pizza 🍕 for lunch. It tasted so good!!!! We had the Lobster Pizza and the Truffle Guy Pizza!

For sure we just had the best lobster Pizza of all times!!!
Look! The restaurant where we had lunch. Amazing Pizza!!!
This is the Southernmost point of the United States of America! 🇺🇸

We decided we wanted to go to the beach, so we went to Smathers… this is how the winter here looks like.
The water was cold.

Then we went to the beach! Me in the icy cold waters!! 🥶 ❄️ 🧊 💦 🌊💧🚿⛲️🏖️🏝️
The water was a freezing…
Look what we saw there too!
After Key West we decided to go back to a famous waterfront restaurant. Papa Joe’s Restaurant and Tiki Bar.
The wonderful sunset!!!! 🌅 This is the Papa Joe’s restaurant, really really good!
Great place!
This is the place, midway between Miami and Key West. Amazing nature here!

We have gone to a restaurant and the food was so good!! I loved it!
This is my parents!!! Mom ate curry shrimp and Dad had mozzarella mahi mahi fish!

    Key west and Islamorada are nice places to visit!Did you visit Hemingway house
